Young democracy advocates all throughout the world are to be empowered by the Hurford Youth Fellowship Program. Selected participants spend three months at the Secretariat of the World Movement, where they network with other activists, share experiences, and strengthen democracy. Fellows actively address significant topics related to democracy through meetings, research, and event planning.

The Hurford Program seeks to unleash the potential of aspiring democratic leaders around the world by helping them to develop their leadership skills.
- Young activists will stay in Washington, D.C., for three (3) months.
- extending their network internationally, absorbing knowledge from other democracy advocates, and giving back to the World Movement for Democracy.
- Fellows will coordinate online forums to involve young activists from around the world.
- They will attend significant gatherings, carry out research, and organize presentations and information-sharing sessions on particular subjects.
Requirements:
You must submit: in order to be considered for the fellowship.
- a C.V. or resume submitted online; two letters of recommendation;
- Candidates must be under 30 years old and must have a strong commitment to local and international democratic activism.
- English language proficiency.
Time and Benefit
Each fellow will gain the following during their three-month fellowship:
- A monthly allowance for living costs
